Return Window
You may request a return within 30 calendar days after the confirmed delivery date. Return requests submitted after this window may be refused unless applicable law requires otherwise.
How to Request a Return
- Email contact@summitopticsco.com with your order number, the email used at checkout, the item you want to return, and the reason for the return.
- Wait for our return instructions before sending the item back.
- Pack the product securely and ship it using a trackable method.
Items sent back without first contacting us may be delayed or refused if we cannot identify the order.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping is paid by the customer. Customers are responsible for purchasing and paying for their own return shipping label. Summit Optics does not pay customer return shipping costs unless required otherwise by applicable law.
Eligible Return Condition
To be eligible for a return, the item should be in new or like-new condition, unused or only reasonably inspected, with original accessories, packaging, manuals, and protective materials when applicable. We may refuse returns that are used, damaged by the customer, missing parts, or not the item originally shipped.
Non-Returnable Items
- Gift cards or store credit cards.
- Items marked final sale where allowed by law.
- Items damaged by misuse, improper care, or unauthorized modification.
- Products returned without enough information to identify the original order.
Wrong, Defective, or Not-as-Described Items
If you receive the wrong item, a defective item, or an item that materially differs from the product description, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We will review the case and provide a replacement, refund, store credit, or another remedy required by applicable law.
Refund Processing Time
After we receive and inspect an eligible return, approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 business days. Your bank, card issuer, PayPal, Shop Pay, or payment provider may take additional time to post the refund.
Original Shipping, Duties, and Taxes
For United States orders with free Standard Shipping, there is no original shipping charge to refund. For orders where shipping, duties, taxes, or international charges apply, refunds will be handled according to applicable law and the amounts actually paid at checkout.
Restocking Fee
Restocking fee: None. We charge $0.00 USD as a restocking fee for eligible returns.
Exchanges
Exchanges may be available depending on inventory. If you need a different item, contact us first. We may recommend returning the original item and placing a new order.
